Espire 1: VR Operative Update Improves Every Level in the Game
Digital Lode’s Espire 1: VR Operative was recently added to the newly revised Meta Quest+ subscription service. Subscribers can download the award-winning VR stealth experience as part of the expanded library of VR experiences available through the service. That’s great news, of course. But there’s more! The latest free Espire 1: VR Operative update, known as New Recruits, has brought a host of improvements to Meta Quest headsets.
Espire 2: MR Missions Update Now Live
Digital Lode and publisher Tripwire Presents announced the release of the MR Missions Update, the sixth update for Espire 2. The free update is now available to download for those who own the title on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2, and Meta Quest Pro headsets, adding the brand-new Mixed Reality Mode and bringing the fight against OPHIS to virtually anywhere.
Espire Content Updates End as Studio Announces Redundancies
The video game industry isn’t in a good state at the moment. There have been a number of high-profile studio closures and staff layoffs at juggernauts like the Embracer Group and Epic Games. Seemingly Forgotten Espire 1: VR Operative PCVR Editon Gets First Update in 3 Years
Generally, if a game hasn’t received an update in a few years and it’s been surpassed by a sequel then you’d assume its dead. Or more accurately, the devs are done with it. That seemed to be the case with Espire 1: VR Operative, which launched for Meta Quest and PCVR headsets in 2019. While the Quest version saw continual updates, the Steam edition was left to languish.
