Kill It With Fire has been crawling all over the VR gaming scene this year. Announced back in February, Kill It With Fire VR made it’s debut on Meta Quest headsets in April. Now, it’s the turn of PSVR2 owners, as Kill It With Fire VR has arrived for console VR players.
Flatscreen ports have become a staple part of the VR release schedule. From major titles like Resident Evil 4 to smaller indie offerings, there are some excellent games coming across. However, there are those that do not fare as well, with janky controls and a lack of interactivity that VR players are used to. Sat in between these two extremes is Kill It With Fire VR, adapting the arachnophobia-inducing gameplay into an eight-legged escapade of fun and frustration.
Is any creature more universally disliked than the spider? They’re everywhere and yet most can’t stand to live with them, which is the entire pretence for Kill it With Fire. Originally released back in 2020 for PC and consoles, the spider-filled slaughter is coming to virtual reality headsets in a few weeks.
Kill It With Fire, the first-person spider-hunter from developer Casey Donnellan Games and publisher tinyBuild, has today been announced for VR headsets. The game, known as Kill it With Fire VR, will infest digital homes in VR on Meta Quest 2, SteamVR, and PlayStation VR & PSVR2 later this year.
