What is Kid Pilot?

Kid Pilot aims to bring the nostalgia of paper airplanes to an interactive 3D space. Using a unique set of hand gestures, players will turn, tilt, accelerate, and navigate their handmade plane through different aerial challenges.

Try your hand at completing obstacle courses, honing your aim during target practice, or exploring the depths of a treacherous volcano. As you complete these sightseeing adventures, you’ll earn badges for completing achievements and overcoming challenging boss fights, unlocking new maps and aircraft.

Boss Fights in a Flight Sim?

Yup, you read that right. True adventurers may test their skills against any of Kid Pilot’s bosses. These encounters encourage you to employ your learned skills as each boss behaves differently.

Each boss awards different rewards as you overcome their obstacles. With these, you’ll enhance your flight experience, with new maps, planes, and encounters that dare to reach the cosmos.

Kid Pilot is available from today, priced at $19.99 USD. According to developer Flamingo Simulation Systems, the game’s intuitive and accessible controls mean that navigating the toy planes only requires the twist of your wrist. As such, the is suited for everyone, from novice gamers to dedicated VR experts.

It’s strange that the game is launching only for PC VR. At first glance it doesn’t appear to be too visually demanding for the Meta Quest 2 headset, and given it’s suggested approachable nature it would surely find a larger audience on the mobile device. Whether or not Flamingo Simulation Systems have plans for additional versions of the game is not currently known.
