Meta Quest 3 Owners Now Have Longer to Claim a Free Copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2

One of the biggest games to launch for Meta Quest headsets in 2023 was Asgard’s Wrath 2. While Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro owners have to buy the game, purchasing a Meta Quest 3 nabs you a free copy. That deal was originally due to expire in January, but Meta extended it. Now the offer has been extended into the summer.

The deal is simple, if you buy either Quest 3 model you get a free copy of Meta’s most ambitious game to date. You then have to go to the Asgard’s Wrath 2 store page to redeem the game. Now all new Quest 3 owners have until 30th June 2024 to do so, saving $60 USD on the regular retail price.

It’s a great deal, especially considering all the Quest 3 upgrades Sanzaru Games has planned. And don’t forget that the 512GB model also comes with a free six-month membership to Meta Quest+.

Unleashing some Asgardian wrath

Asgard’s Wrath 2 is a Meta Quest exclusive that launched in December 2023. A sequel to the Oculus Rift original, it continues the story featuring the mischievous Nordic god Loki. In this single-player action adventure, you were once a god yourself, able to possess mortal humans and wield incredible magical abilities. Loki was your guide but being the untrustworthy god he is, he betrays and imprisons you.

The Weavers of Fate release you from your prison and turn you into a Cosmic Guardian. That’s because they require your aid in tracking down your former mentor. You’re tasked with putting a stop to Loki’s plans before he upsets the balance of the universe.

This time around the events have an Egyptian setting, where you’ll encounter legendary Egyptian gods. You’ll fight all manner of deadly warriors and awe-inspiring mythical creatures using physics-based combat. As a cosmic being, you’ll still be able to possess mortal heroes and convert loyal animals into warrior followers. It’s not all action though, there are plenty of puzzles to solve and secrets to discover.
