In December, WanadevStudio, the team behind Ragnarock and Propagation: Paradise Hotel unveiled its next project. Called Vestiges: Fallen Tribes, it’s a card-based combat game and this week you’ll be able to play it thanks to a free Steam demo.
Set in a tribal, science-fiction universe, Vestiges: Fallen Tribes is a mix of collectable card game and auto battler. Offering both single-player and multiplayer PvP modes, you have to pick your clan and build your deck. Making tactical choices and manipulating your figurines to win the battle and obliterate your enemy. All for the one and only resource, water.

For the demo, WanadevStudio has confirmed it’ll include the following features:
- Tutorial to learn more about the game mechanics and how to play
- Solo practice mode that can be played while waiting for a game to start
- Random cross platform matchmaking
- Two unique starter decks: the Illustrans and the Adrariis
- 5 units per factions
Vestiges: Fallen Tribes isn’t a purely VR title, on Steam it supports both flatscreen and VR. This means PC and VR crossplay will be available.
“We’re very excited to share this first phase of the game with you guys,” the team notes. “This is the perfect opportunity for us to get your feedback on those first few features, so don’t hesitate to tell us what you like, what you don’t like and what you would like to see in the game!”
The Vestiges: Fallen Tribes demo will be available from 25th January. An official launch is slated to take place later in 2024. While you wait, don’t forget that the Jonathan Young DLC for Ragnarock arrived last month adding six new songs.
