Motocross comes in several forms, from riders competing against one another around twisting, undulating tracks to the extreme stunt riders. It’s the latter that ReVR Games has taken to heart in Stunt X Mania for Meta Quest. Originally released in 2025 as an early access title, the game is about to receive its official 1.0 launch this week.

What is Motocross?

If you’ve never seen any motocross, its most popular aspect is the high-octane races. Riders compete on very muddy courses using extremely customised bikes, jumping, skidding and generally going as fast as humanly possible. On the other side of the coin are the exhibition stunt performers, who race up ramps to gain as much height as possible before performing incredibly dangerous stunts.

In Stunt X Mania, you get to perform lots of those stunts across a variety of locations, in a mixture of gameplay modes. Scoring points by comboing tricks together and landing in one piece.

Stunt X Mania Features

Stunt X Mania is part motocross sim and part arcade racer. VR pros can ride their bikes with full manual controls, changing gears at the correct time to build up speed. Or, for those just starting out, fully automatic controls are available so you can get on with learning those stunts.

And there are a bunch of stunts to learn. The official launch will see a total of 12 accessible stunts like the Special Flip, Heel Kicker, Superman, Lazyboy, Cliffhanger, One-Handed Heart Attack and more. You can learn the basics in the new Training Mode before trying your hand at the new Career Mode, where every flip and crash matters. While the Freeroam Mode gives you the chance to explore the best lines in each arena and keep practising those stunts.

In addition to a major graphical overhaul to both the UI, environments and bikes, Stunt X Mania now includes wide-ranging customisation options. Kit out your bike and rider in new gear for the ultimate motocross look.

Launch Details

Stunt X Mania is set to leave Early Access and officially launch on Meta Quest this Saturday, 4th July. The price will be $9.99 USD, but currently the game is part of the Meta Quest sale, so it’s super cheap for the next few days.

ReVR Games has also confirmed that future plans include expanding upon the single-player, adding co-op and multiplayer modes later on.
