Developer Out of the Blue and publisher Raw Fury are bringing the hugely popular adventure game, Call of the Sea, to VR. The story-driven game, set to be known as Call of the Sea VR, will launch later this month on Meta Quest 2.
Call of the Sea VR is set in the far reaches of the South Pacific in the 1930s. Players will journey across the ocean to a lush island paradise as Norah, voiced by Cissy Jones (Firewatch, The Walking Dead). Jones is travelling alone, trying to find her husband after his expedition went missing.
Players must solve first-person puzzles while embarking on a story-driven adventure full of love, suspense, and surreal surprises. As you investigate the clues hidden in this forgotten place, you’ll uncover the remnants of a lost civilization.
A tale of mystery and self-discovery, the game has been redesigned for VR. All of the game’s environments have been rebuilt from Unreal Engine 4 to fit Meta Quest 2 capabilities.

The VR edition will feature full voice-over in English, French and Spanish, and localised Japanese and German. More languages will be added post-release.
The game will launch on 13th April, 2023. It will be available for Meta Quest 2, priced at $19.99 USD.
